The performance, which will take place at St Luke’s, Glasgow, will also feature an 8-piece string section in addition to the choir, and will combine the classical sensibilities of the choir with the street music, carnival and music hall influences of the band.
“A New International” combines the sounds of street music, carnival, music hall, cabaret, chanson, circus, movies, gypsy, folk and pop and, as part of their performance, the GSA Choir will be singing a selection of complementary music. These pieces will be drawn from both the classical and contemporary choral repertoire, and will feature on our upcoming CD, to be released later in the year.
